Whew. March has been a busy month for us here at Jump.Work HQ!
At the beginning of every month, we’re going to keep you in the loop of what we’ve done and what we’ll be working on in the month ahead.
Here’s what we did in March...
Done in March
Completely revamped our job application & sign-up flow.
This is one of the biggest changes to roll out of the tech team this month. It means that it’s now a lot simpler, faster and easier for you to apply for a job.
You’ll have more information about the job and you’ll take any necessary assignments there and then.
And the best bit? It’s fully optimised for mobile. Now you can apply on the train, the bus, the plane….anywhere!
We’ve already seen a big improvement in people finishing the application flow. Now 3 out of every 4 applicants complete their application which is almost double what we were seeing before.
Keep your eyes peeled for developments on this as we continue to fine-tune it.
You can now easily browse all live jobs on our platform
No more annoying login or sign up requirements, you can see what jobs we have on our open-for-all job feed.
You can filter by location, salary, contract type, employment type and role. Genius!
We have new jobs coming onto the platform every day so this is a great place to start. You can also sign up for job alerts to be the first to know about any new jobs too.
Improved job description page
We’ve taken your feedback, listened and made some improvements to our job description page - the place where you learn more about the role and what it requires.
We’ve streamlined the information and focused on what’s important. We show the key skills required, give you more information about the company, tell you the key facts about the role and we also calculate the commuting distance for you. How nifty is that?!
Not only that, but we also recommend similar jobs to the one you’re looking at and, we show you whether you’re a good match for this role based on the information you’ve given us (another good reason to sign up!)
Our new blog is live
We’ve only gone and made ourselves a blog.
We’ve been busy publishing and creating articles that we think you’ll really like. We have articles on team news, opinion pieces, case studies, helpful hints and tips and much more.
We’d love to hear what you think and if there’s anything in particularly you’d like to see there.
Coming up in April
Fine-tuning the job application process for Professionals
We’re continuing to make enhancements to our job application process and we’ll be taking on board any feedback our users make.
Improving the user experience process for Businesses
We have a few initiatives up our sleeves here and we’re starting with how we can make it even more user-friendly to view, download and assess a candidate’s qualification whether that be a CV or their assessment results.
Officially launching in Birmingham and London
We’ve spent the past year or so busy beavering away in the background and building up a strong presence in Birmingham and London. We’re almost ready to officially launch in these markets so keep your eyes peeled for that announcement.
We’ve been beta testing this over the past few months and we’ve seen a good uptake on this so far.
You’ll start to see more about this in the coming month. £100 for you and your friend if your friend gets hired, you can’t go wrong with that!
Bringing on even more top law firms to the platform
We’ve been having exciting conversations with some of the UK’s most exciting law firms and they’re equally excited to be joining our platform. This is all part of our mission to be the UK’s largest legal and business support hiring platform.
